With six weeks to go until the European Elections, we have invited all the candidates running to represent Dublin to a special event to discuss their vision and ambitions for our capital city.

The candidates have been asked to demonstrate how they will represent the interests of Dublin Chamber’s members in Brussels and Strasburg to ensure the needs of businesses in this region are represented and understood at the highest level.

This hustings event is a unique opportunity for you and your colleagues to meet and engage directly with the candidates and put the questions relevant to you and your business to them.

Confirmed speakers include, Ciarán Cuffe MEP, Senator Regina Doherty, Aodhán Ó Ríordáin TD and Barry Andrews MEP

Ciaran Cuffe, MEP

Ciarán Cuffe is the Green MEP for Dublin. Prior to his election to the European Parliament in 2019, he served as a Dublin City Councillor, TD for Dún Laoghaire, and Minister of State with responsibility for sustainable transport and climate change.

Senator Regina Doherty

Regina Doherty brings over 15 years of political experience, having served at Cabinet as Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection, as well as a TD, and a Councillor. She is currently Leader of the Fine Gael group in Seanad Éireann.

 Aodhán Ó Ríordáin TD,

Aodhán Ó Ríordáin, Labour Party TD for Dublin Bay North, serves as the Party Spokesperson on Education and Justice. He has previously served as Minister of State for Equality, New Communities, Culture, and the National Drugs Strategy.

 Barry Andrews MEP 

Barry Andrews has represented the people of Dublin as a TD, a Minister of State, and for the last 4 years as Fianna Fáil’s MEP for Dublin. Barry is a member of the European Parliament’s Committee on International Trade among others.
