Housing remains the greatest concern for Dublin businesses. About two out of every three firms have lost employees or had prospective employees not take a job due to the lack of affordable housing in Dublin. While hybrid and remote working offer temporary relief, they do not resolve the core issue: the supply of housing in the Greater Dublin Area is insufficient to meet demand, making it increasingly difficult to for employees to live and work in Dublin.

Webinar, Dublin Chamber, . .
To explore this further, Dublin Chamber will be hosting a roundtable discussion online at 12pm on Friday, 21st March. The session will last approximately 60 minutes, and we hope to have a robust exchange of views and sharing of business experiences. Discussion will be based on your individual input and broadly framed by the following themes:
- How does the lack of available and affordable housing in Dublin impact your ability to attract and retain employees?
- What are the biggest housing-related challenges your employees face? (e.g., affordability, availability, location, commuting distance)
- What government policies or incentives would help businesses better support their employees’ housing needs?
Please register your interest in participating by emailing emma@dublinchamber.ie. Attendance will be limited, so the remaining participant list will be filled on a first come first served basis.
