Evident in Dublin Chamber's Business Outlook Surveys, access to finance has significantly increased as a challenge for Dublin businesses. Anecdotally, members are struggling to raise finance due to a lack of finance currently in Ireland's capital ecosystem.


We want to know how your business is raising finance and what problems these finance streams bring, as to inform Dublin Chamber's competitiveness portfolio ahead of a General Election. 


The following questions will serve as a guide to the discussion:
1. How do you rate the venture capital ecosystem in Ireland? Do you think venture capital firms are appropriately serving Enterprise Ireland as an anchor investor by efficiently deploying capital?


2. How difficult/straightforward is it for your business to raise debt from banks or venture debt providers?


3. Do overly complicated regulations and heavy handed Revenue supervision impact on your willingness to avail of incentives such as R&D tax credits and EIIS?
