Public safety, along with the overall look and feel of the city, remains a key concern for Dublin’s business community. Earlier this year, Dublin Chamber welcomed the publication of the Dublin City Taskforce Report, which outlines several strategic proposals to revitalise the city, including investing in a stronger Garda force, enhanced public furniture, and improved lighting. While this report represents a positive step forward, its success depends on effective implementation.

Webinar, Dublin Chamber, . .
To help inform our ongoing engagement with local and central Government on this issue, Dublin Chamber invites you to an online roundtable discussion at 12 pm on Friday, 30th May. The session will last approximately 60 minutes, and discussions will be guided by your insights and broadly framed by the following questions:
- Since the publishing of the Report from the Dublin City Taskforce in Q4 2024, have you seen a noticeable increase in Gardaí in Dublin City Centre?
- What steps are needed to be taken by Dublin City Council, An Garda Síochána, and central Government to make the city more appealing as a place to socialise, work, and live?
- Since the publishing of the Dublin City Taskforce Report, what changes have you seen as a business that show the impact of the implementation of the Taskforce's recommendations?
