13 December 2023

United World Colleges (UWC) is a global movement that makes education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for a peaceful and sustainable future. UWC has a network of 18 international schools on 4 continents, with volunteer-run national committees in more than 150 countries.

The Ireland National Committee is a registered charity that is responsible for selecting students to participate in the 2-year programme which is centred around the International Baccalaureate. Students should be in TY or 5th year and at least 16 by September 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for talented students to broaden their horizons and learn in a multicultural environment. The goal of UWC is to nurture the changemakers of the future who will strive for peace and sustainability.

Scholarships are means tested and can be up fully or partially funded. For the 2024-25 cohort we have 5 places on offer in Maastricht, Changshu, Pearson Vancouver, Atlantic Wales and East Africa. All details can be found here. Applications are open until January 19, 2024.

Chamber members - if you know any talented TY students or 5th year students who would be interested in applying please pass along this information and tell them to go to the UWC Ireland website or email info@ie.uwc.org.
