Earlier this month, The Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications assigned €12 million to support climate action across the country. Approximately €3 million of which will be assigned to Dublin, funding the Climate Action Regional Office (CARO) for Dublin over the next 6 years. The CARO for the Dublin Metropolitan Area is key for climate action funding and assures its successful sustainability measures’ implementation at local authority level, with Minister for Transport Eamonn Ryan TD stating that;

“The department will work closely with the CAROs over the coming years to ensure the work continues to support the delivery of climate actions at a local level.”

More information can be gathered on CAROs within the post available here.
