Supporting Dublin’s Tourism Businesses

Back to Articles

10 August 2023

When long sunny days put a smile on everyone’s face, visitors see Dublin at its very best. But Failte Ireland are definitely not sitting back and enjoying ice creams – tempting as that might be...

A key theme of this Dublin Update is Failte Ireland's drive to keep you up to date with industry trends that could benefit your business. Breakfast Bytes is their brand new series of seminars which is launching this year, and they are keen to hear which topics you’d like their expert speakers to cover. Submit your suggestions here.

Another critical area is service. As delivering flawless experiences is essential for every tourism-related business, Failte Ireland ran a series of Exceptional Customer Service workshops in May. They'll complement these with more workshops later this year on how to keep track of everything that happens in and around Dublin.

Just how much takes place beyond the city centre is obvious to anyone who has explored the Dublin Coastal Trail. Launched in 2022, the Trail has opened up fantastic new options and experiences for visitors stretching from Skerries to Killiney.  If your business is along the coast, they've developed assets for you to use, more details are outlined below.

They also feature the new Dublin Regional Tourism Development Strategy 2023 - 2027.  They consulted widely when developing this milestone document which outlines a blueprint for the development of sustainable tourism in the city and county over the coming years.

Overall, the new Strategy underpins their continued support of Dublin’s tourism businesses as they highlight the events, experiences and surprises awaiting visitors to our incredible city and county.
