TU Dublin: Sustainability in Business

Back to Articles

03 August 2023

Dublin Chamber is excited to collaborate with TU Dublin on their Sustainability in Business module in their MSc in Sustainable Development. There is an excellent opportunity for Dublin Chamber members in all sectors, including public and not-for-profit to take part.

What’s in it for my business?

If your business takes part, the students (in a hands-on team project) will be tasked with developing a real sustainability strategy for your company.  They will conduct research on your organisation, benchmark you against leaders in the business sector, and develop practical real-life solutions that you can implement in your organisation.

When the project is complete, participating companies are invited to a presentation session to listen to the recommended strategies.  You will receive a dedicated report with insightful, original, and valuable recommendations for your business.

Previous participants include An Garda Síochána, Dublin Zoo & Shamrock Rovers Football Club.

Is my business eligible?

Most likely. TU Dublin is looking for a variety of companies to take part in the opportunity.

Participation is open to organisations in all sectors, including public and not-for-profit.

Selection of partners will be carried out by Dublin Chamber and T U Dublin, taking into account the profile of applicants and academic requirements.

What do I need to do in order to participate?

  • Allocate time to the process: e.g. explain the profile and activities of your business,
  • Share information on your current performance (for example, energy, carbon, waste, social engagement),
  • Be open to discussing the expectations for your business and your sector,
  • Attend the final project presentation in December 2023 in T U Dublin, at which recommendations for your business will be discussed.

How much does it cost to take part?

It is free to take part.
