The TBESS was introduced to support businesses with increases in their electricity or natural gas (energy) costs during the winter months. TBESS provides qualifying businesses with up to 40% of the increase in electricity or gas bills, now up to €15,000 per month following changes announced in the recent Cost of Living Measures package. It is administered by Revenue, backdated to September, and has now also been extended to run until the 31st of May. Businesses should be aware that the window for September claims will close at the end of January.
