Ireland’s transition to a circular economy depends on businesses having the right skills, structures and supports in place. To better understand those needs, Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR), as secretariat of CIRCULÉIRE, is inviting businesses across Ireland to take part in the National Circular Skills Survey 2026.

Last year’s survey provided valuable early insights into circular economy skills needs across Irish industry and informed our first Circular Skills Insights Report. While the findings highlighted important trends and opportunities, the sample size was not large enough to provide a fully representative national picture.

This year, we are seeking significantly greater participation from businesses across every county in Ireland. Urban centres were well represented in 2025, but we want to ensure the 2026 survey captures the perspectives of businesses operating in all regions of the country. By increasing participation, we can build a stronger evidence base and develop a more accurate picture of the circular economy skills, training and capacity-building needs of Irish businesses nationwide.
