Sectoral Consultation on Enterprise Adoption of AI

Back to Articles

21 July 2026

The Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment (DETE) is developing a Sectoral Strategy for Enterprise Adoption of Artificial Intelligence and is seeking input from businesses on the opportunities, challenges and policy supports needed to accelerate AI adoption.

The consultation will help shape recommendations and targeted policy measures to support Irish businesses in building capability, improving productivity, driving innovation and remaining competitive in an increasingly digital economy.

DETE is particularly interested in hearing from businesses in the manufacturing, tourism, construction and ICT services sectors. Dublin Chamber will be making a submission and invites members from all sectors and business sizes to share their views.

The Department is seeking feedback on:

  • Your organisation's level of digital maturity;
  • How you store and manage operational data;
  • Your experience of adopting AI;
  • The expected impact of AI on your business over the next two to three years;
  • The main barriers to AI adoption; and
  • The policy supports or initiatives that would help increase AI adoption.

Please send your feedback to mia@dublinchamber.ie, including your business sector, to inform Dublin Chamber's submission.
