On July 1st 2026 Ireland took over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, a significant leadership role at the centre of EU decision-making. The role will run until December 2026.
Dublin Chamber believes this Presidency presents an important opportunity to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness, deepen the Single Market and deliver a more streamlined, effective regulatory environment. It also provides a platform to advance ambitious climate and energy objectives while supporting sustainable economic growth across the Union.
Earlier this week Dublin Chamber published our guide on EU Presidency priorities and the events planned by us and our members throughout the Presidency period. You can read the guide here.
