19 November 2025

On 22nd October, Dublin Chamber President Eoghan Quigley addressed more than 1,000 businesses, alongside Tánaiste Simon Harris and senior Government officials at Dublin Chamber’s Annual Dinner 2025. In his keynote address, the Chamber President emphasised the need for Ireland to remain not only an attractive location for FDI, but also a place where indigenous enterprises can grow and scale. Central to this is rewarding risk-takers who invest in Irish businesses. Quigley reiterated the Chamber’s call for meaningful reform of Capital Gains Tax, arguing that small, incremental changes to enterprise supports in successive Budgets are no longer sufficient.

The President also urged full funding and urgent implementation of the Dublin City Taskforce recommendations to improve safety, public realm, and the overall experience of the city. With Sean O’Driscoll, Chair of the Accelerating Infrastructure Taskforce, in attendance, Quigley reinforced the Chamber’s concerns about planning and consenting delays for critical housing-related infrastructure and reiterated our support for the Taskforce’s work in identifying the barriers to delivery and solutions required.
