Dublin Chamber have joined a new consortium for an Erasmus+ project
“Reporting on ESG and Sustainability Performance Oriented to the Needs of Small Enterprises” (RESPONSE). This project Objectives: RESPONSE wants to develop a set of training and support tools capable of improving the ESG reporting capabilities of SMEs, according to the European Sustainability Reporting Standards of the EU Commission.
- Understand SMEs' main needs and barriers to ESG reporting;
- Reinforce SMEs' ability to report their ESG performance and comply with EU normative;
- Increase SMEs' staff and entrepreneurs competences on ESG normative and reporting.
Our Implementation plan is to create
1. Knowledge base creation: analysis of SMEs’ main needs on ESG reporting and mapping of existing support activities for SMEs;
2. Creation of supporting tools for SMEs: development of a set of tools and training materials aimed at increasing SMEs’ capacities of correctly measuring and disclosing their ESG data;
3. Piloting and training of SMEs: testing of the supporting tools effectiveness on a group of at least 20 European SMEs.
The kick-off meeting of the project took place in the VRATSA Chamber of Commerce in BULGARIA this week and Dublin Chamber attended and presented the plans for work package three which they will lead on.
We will be sending a survey in the next few weeks to understand the needs of SMEs in the area of ESG reporting and would appreciate your feedback.
