Most Irish businesses know that sustainability, circular economy and carbon management are crucial to their success and even survival in the mid- to long-term. However, time pressures, resource constraints and lack of expertise make this an uphill battle for small to medium businesses. The MODOS Circular Economy Training Programme for SMEs is designed to help you kick-start your sustainable journey with practical expert advice, useful resources and time-saving toolkits.

This Circular Economy training course is provided FREE to SMEs based in Ireland through the local authorities and is delivered by experts with decades of experience working with a wide range of businesses. The delivery method is online, one session a week on Friday mornings over 3 weeks. It is funded by the Government of Ireland and is offered through the local authorities free of charge to SMEs who wish to implement real and impactful sustainable practices in their businesses. MODOS restricts each course to 20-25 businesses, so that participants can avail of good access to the trainers and a more tailored approach to the training.

The MODOS course will enable participant businesses to: 

• Understand the benefits of the circular economy for business and the environment

• Learn how to unlock opportunities for your business in a circular economy

• Identify opportunities for improved resource efficiency and carbon management while reducing costs and meeting with legislation

• Engage customers to market your message more effectively

• Get ready for new EU ESG reporting requirements for SMEs
