EU Business Hub @ Smart Energy Week Autumn 2025 business mission 

We are happy to inform that the official deadline for the EU Business Hub @ Smart Energy Week Autumn 2025 business mission has been extended until June 13. This mission will take place in Japan, at Makuhari Messe, from 15 to 19 September 2025. 

Who can apply? 
European SMEs and start-ups active in the renewable energy sector, including: 

  • Hydrogen and fuel cells 

  • Solar power 

  • Wind power 

  • Rechargeable batteries 

  • Smart grids 

  • Carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) 

  • Decarbonisation technologies 

  • Circular economy solutions 

What to expect? This 5-day business mission includes: 

  • Business matchmaking. Participate in pre-arranged, in-person meetings with carefully selected Japanese enterprises. 

  • Market insights. Attend briefings on the Japanese renewable energy sector, including trends, opportunities, and regulatory context. 

  • Networking opportunities. Connect with Japanese buyers, distributors, investors, and R&D partners at Smart Energy Week. 

  • Study tour. Gain practical insights through a dedicated tour of key sites and players in Japan’s clean energy transition. 

NB! Participants are responsible for covering their own travel costs. 

Participation benefits: 

  • Financial support. Up to €1,000 for customised services such as translation, printing, or legal advice. 

  • Accommodation. Four nights at Hotel The Manhattan (Makuhari), with up to €1,000 covered by the programme. 

  • Exhibition access. Coverage of the exhibition fee at Smart Energy Week. 

  • Cultural and linguistic assistance. Support with interpretation, translation, and doing business in Japan.
