Making Buildings Greener: ENACT Retrofit Event

ENACT is a 3-year SEAI-funded initiative led by the Irish Green Building Council with partners SCSIDublin ChamberSustainability Works, and the University of Galway. The aim is to renovate 1 in 3 commercial buildings in Ireland to a B+ BER by 2030. Renovating saves energy, cuts emissions, reduces costs, and boosts business resilience.

Dublin Chamber hosted the first of three awareness building workshops this week.  There are two further workshops on project outputs and you can register for them here.

 

As this project is now drawing to a close we will have a presentation that will talk about the national ambition for 2030 targets for the retrofit of commercial premises

  • 30% of commercial buildings to achieve a BER of B or higher.
  • 40% emission reductions in large industry 

The  ENACT - Enabling Commercial Retrofit event you will get the opportunity to understand the resources available to businesses to facilitate retrofit.

As part of the event there will be updates on current legislation applicable for SMEs. With technical and financial analysis, along with case studies provided by the Society of Chartered Surveyors. Additionally a financial handbook created by Sustainability Works on commercial retrofit is being launched on the day.
