Uisce Éireann Appoints Infrastructure Delivery Director – Maria O’Dwyer

Uisce Éireann has announced the appointment of Maria O’Dwyer to the role of Infrastructure Delivery Director. Maria will lead the multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivery of national strategic water and wastewater infrastructure portfolios, overseeing an average annual Exchequer investment of €1.3bn designed to support economic growth in Ireland and enable the communities across the country to thrive. Under her leadership, the Infrastructure Delivery team will continue the roll out of essential programmes to reduce leakage, replace lead pipes and eliminate the discharge of untreated wastewater into our rivers, lakes and the sea.

Maria joined Uisce Éireann in 2016 from Gas Networks Ireland, where she held the role of Head of Asset Programmes. At Uisce Éireann, she has worked across Connection and Developer Services and Asset Management, most recently in the position of Head of Asset Management. She was a Director of Irish Water from 2019 to 2022 and is a non-Executive Director with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland. Maria is a Chartered Engineer and holds a Bachelors of Electronic Engineering, a Masters in Engineering Science and a Diploma in Company Direction with the Institute of Directors.
