Energia Helps Businesses Cut Lighting Bills by Up to 70%

Businesses are being urged to take a fresh look at one of the easiest ways to reduce energy costs, as Energia highlights the savings on offer through its Lighting Solutions service.

The upgrade replaces outdated fluorescent lighting with high-quality, energy-efficient LEDs, and can reduce a business’s lighting consumption by up to 70%. For many organisations lighting represents a significant and often overlooked share of overall energy spend, meaning the upgrade can deliver a lasting reduction in running costs.

The Energia Lighting Solutions model removes upfront cost, one of the main barriers to making the switch. Rather than requiring capital investment the upgrade is funded through the savings it generates.

Energia calculates a business’s likely savings based on current consumption and then structures a payment plan so that the cost of installation is met from those savings over time. Once the upgrade is paid off businesses continue to benefit from the full reduction in their lighting bill.

Daniel Horgan, Energy Solutions Sales Manager at Energia, explains: “Repayments are made through your savings from the new lighting. If your project has a total cost of €20,000 but you are estimated to make a yearly saving of €8,000 on the new lighting, you will use that saving over 2.5 years to pay off the upgrade (€8,000 x 2.5 years pay back = €20,000).”

Energia manages the entire process on behalf of the customer from initial survey and energy audit through to design, installation, and the safe recycling of old fittings. Lighting is sourced through leading European suppliers, ensuring a durable, high-quality product as well as improved light quality on site.

Beyond the financial case the upgrade supports businesses’ sustainability goals. Reducing lighting consumption lowers carbon footprint, offering a straightforward way to make measurable progress on emissions without disrupting day-to-day operations.

Energia typically completes a survey and returns a design proposal within four weeks after which a more detailed project timeline can be confirmed.

For businesses looking to reduce costs and improve sustainability performance, an energy audit is a practical first step. Energia is encouraging Dublin Chamber members to get in touch to find out more.

Let’s arrange an audit.
