Flogas Energy has announced the appointment of Ken O’Byrne as Managing Director, following the retirement of Sean O’Loughlin, who had led the Flogas Energy business since 2022.

As Managing Director, Ken will lead the continued delivery of Flogas Energy’s growth strategy, with a focus on innovative energy solutions and supporting customers on their energy transition journey. A key focus will be strengthening the company’s commitment to sustainability and advancing its ambition to build a more resilient, lower-carbon energy future across the island of Ireland.

Ken brings extensive commercial and leadership experience across the energy sector. He previously served as Commercial Director at Flogas Energy for seven years, where he helped drive the company’s commercial strategy and support the growth of its multi-energy offering, including renewable energy solutions for residential, commercial and industrial customers.

Prior to joining Flogas Energy, Ken held a number of senior leadership roles with Bord Gáis Energy, Bord na Móna, Electric Ireland, Microsoft and Eir, bringing valuable experience in business transformation, customer solutions and market development.
