MetroLink Seeks Input on Minor Building Works Framework

MetroLink is seeking insights from firms with capability in minor building, repair, and maintenance works to support the Property Owners Protection Scheme (POPS). The POPS scheme is designed to reassure residents living close to the MetroLink route by addressing any concerns about potential property impacts during construction.

Scope of the Potential Minor Works Framework

The anticipated scope includes (but is not limited to):

  • General minor building, repair, and maintenance works
  • Building fabric repairs, carpentry, joinery, painting, and making good
  • Minor structural repairs and insulation improvements
  • Electrical and plumbing works
  • Accessibility upgrades
  • Noise barriers, fencing, and mitigation works
  • Replacement glazing, glazing upgrades, and full window replacements
  • Minor external works such as boundary wall or railing remediation

A formal tender competition may be launched as early as Q3 2026, informed by the feedback received through this MSQ.

About MetroLink

MetroLink will be Ireland’s first high-capacity, fully automated metro system. Spanning ~19km, it will connect Swords to Charlemont via Dublin Airport and the city centre. The project is central to Ireland’s climate and mobility goals and will support thousands of construction and supply chain jobs annually throughout delivery.
