An Post showcases career opportunities through ‘Making Better Happen’ commitment
An Post is putting inclusion at the heart of Ireland’s career conversation with a new talent initiative launching this week at An Post’s headquarters in the EXO Building. The initiative is aligned with Making Better Happen, An Post’s new brand platform, reflecting its ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability and meaningful community impact. In a renewed drive for talent across frontline roles, An Post is eager to build on its current workforce, reflecting the diversity and inclusivity of the communities it serves.
With ongoing roles open across a variety of fields including Postal delivery, sorting and collection, Logistics, Customer Service, Retail, Financial Services, IT, Digital, Procurement, HR, and Engineering, as well as 900 peak Christmas roles coming up in late November/December, the organisation is committed to developing its people and supporting them on their career journey.
For An Post, creating a sense of belonging is embedded at the heart of the organisation’s culture and long-term strategy with a progressive, supportive environment where careers are built to last. No matter what stage of life, from career starters to those returning to work or those seeking a new direction, An Post is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where every employee feels valued, supported and empowered to reach their full potential.
As one of Ireland’s largest employers with an over 9,000 strong workforce, An Post continues its digital transformation to become a sustainable, profitable business that delivers successfully in a digital world.
The career event at the EXO brought together education partners, career advisors, adult guidance counsellors and other key stakeholders who help shape future career journeys. It marked the launch of a year-long communications programme aimed at highlighting the wide range of evolving roles available at An Post. The initiative will demonstrate how employees can progress and build long-term careers, for example moving from front-line postal roles into positions such as Indoor Administrative Officer, to Working Leader, to Operations Manager.
The event also shone a light on the An Post Institute, which is An Post’s commitment to develop and upskill all employees and includes new Digital Pathways which have been recently launched. As part of An Post’s commitment to building a strong talent pipeline, the Institute partners with top education and learning providers in Ireland and internationally. It comprises four key academies: Digital, Leadership, Business Agility and Career Development, each aligned with An Post’s future skills and capability needs.
Speaking at the event, Heather Lowry, Head of Talent & Organisational Development at An Post, said,
“As we look to the future, attracting the best talent is crucial for our sustainability as a business. Whether someone is just starting their career, returning to work, or seeking a new direction, we invite you to consider joining An Post.
