Join us on Tuesday 27th September for a breakfast briefing on Net Zero in a Modern Enterprise with Amazon Web Services. We’ll be joined by Neil Harris, Principal Sustainability Strategy and Partnership at Amazon Web Services.
Neil will give some background on Amazon and discuss their commitment to build a sustainable business for their customers and the planet. In 2019 as part of that commitment, Amazon co-founded The Climate Pledge in 2019 with Global Optimism and continues to demonstrate its commitment to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2040 - 10 years ahead of the Paris Agreement. The Climate Pledge now has over 300 pledge signatories and is continuing to grow.
The session will cover:
- Sharing perspectives on the case for change, how to find progress, obstacles, and opportunity
- Proving a perspective on organisational ‘value creation’ through the lens of TIPP - Technology, Innovation, People and Planet
- Thinking big as a self-fulfilling prophecy - Amazon’s approach to innovation and a few ‘peculiar’ ways that it can work well
