The National Hygiene Partnership has produced a basic hygiene handbook called ‘hygiene matters.’ It is available in 11 languages.
There is concern about consumer confidence in the service and production of food products.
Most cases of food poisoning are the result of carelessness by food handler’s, and so legislation quite rightly emphasises the need for food handlers to be appropriately trained.
Some of our greatest concerns relate to the quality of training and the monitoring of standards and ensuring that those who trained do not ignore what they have learned.
The National Hygiene Partnership was established in 1995 to develop safe food through training, helping everybody in the food industry to understand the dangers of serving and storing food.
The National Hygiene Partnership run a course entitled ‘the management of food hygiene’. Over the last 6 years it has run 350 courses, training approximately 4,500 people. Over 36 management of food hygiene courses have been run this year so far training 450 people.
