* About the Enterprise Europe Network

The network is made up of over 500 business support organisations in over 40 countries throughout the EU and beyond. The Enterprise Europe Network in Ireland is a partnership between the Technology Transfer Department within Enterprise Ireland and 5 regional Chambers of Commerce - Cork Chamber, Dublin Chamber, Galway Chamber, Sligo Chamber and Waterford Chamber.

 

** SME Access to Public Procurement Programme

In view of promoting a level playing field for all companies wishing to participate in public procurement procedures, strengthen innovation and their competitiveness, the programme aims to compensate the lack of technical capacities in SMEs to participate in public procurement procedures.  As well as other promotional activities we will organise a series of seminars and training sessions aiming at increasing the technical expertise of SMEs participating in public procurement procedures in addition we will be organising specific events bringing together SMEs and public buyers

 

*** EU Network of Female Entrepreneur Ambassadors

The programme organises activities such as briefings, workshops, interviews and mentoring, targeting female would-be entrepreneurs in Ireland; all national networks together constitute the EU Network of female entrepreneurship ambassadors. The female entrepreneurship ambassador activities and networking at national and European level aim to inspire  women to set-up an own businesses and become entrepreneur.

 

**** SME Panels - Communication with SMEs

The aim of the programme is to get the views and feedback of SMEs on forthcoming EU policies and legislation thereby enhancing the communication channel between SMEs, Enterprise Europe Network partners and the Commission.  Feedback will be provided to SMEs on the outcome of the exercise and opinions will be used to further develop good practices of the pilot phase
