Aebhric Mc Gibney
Director of public and International Affairs
Aebhric Mc Gibney is the Director of Public and International Affairs. His public affairs responsibilities include policy development, advocacy, publications, media affairs and ‘Activating Dublin’. The International and Consular departments provide export documentation services and advice to companies, as well as running a number of other related EU and trade based projects and services.
Aebhric is a board member of Córas Iompair Éireann and chairs its Finance and Property Committee. He has served on a number of Government advisory bodies, including the National Economic and Social Forum, the Advisory Group on Tax and Social Welfare and many committees under Social Partnership. He is a member of the PRII and IOD. Previously, Aebhric Mc Gibney has worked as a lecturer, economic consultant and as Senior Economist with IBEC. He received an Outstanding Contribution award by the Irish Pro Share Association for his work promoting tax relief for share schemes. Aebhric Mc Gibney holds a M. Litt. (Economics) from TCD and was awarded the Dean’s List Award from UCD for his first class honours MBA in 2001. Aebhric is a graduate of Belvedere College.
He is married to Cathy O’Sullivan. He attempts to go to the gym and pool in UCD, and is an avid fan of movies, music, graphic novels and science fiction.
