Through developing new entrepreneurs and a vision to ignite entrepreneurship in the minds of those aged 9-90; and providing international consultancy services to the World’s top business schools (www.QEDAccreditationAdvisors.com), Joanne Hession is a portfolio entrepreneur and one of Ireland’s leaders in training and business development. She is founder and CEO of The Entrepreneurs Academy, a rebranding of The Ignite Academy & QED Training which she founded almost 20 years ago.
Recently quoted in Forbes about her Irish Brain Trust, Joanne is an award-winning entrepreneur, author, government Entrepreneurialism advisor, European Commission entrepreneurship mentor and frequent media commentator.
A graduate of UCD’s BComm and MBS Programmes, her career spans EY and UCD Smurfit School as well as spending a year on the Rwandan border in 1995-1996 as a volunteer with Concern Worldwide before setting up her own business aged 28. In addition to being a Council and a Board Member for Dublin Chamber of Commerce Joanne is a Board member of the British Irish Chamber of Commerce, and on Advisory Boards for two International University business schools and many start-up companies and organisations linked with igniting entrepreneurship such as the non-profit organisation Bizworld.
